The Edge Hill University / Unipace Accreditation Partnership means that all of the training, consultancy and courses offered by Unipace carry with them an accreditation for any school based research.
What is school based research?
The school based research will take the form of a portfolio of evidence, the portfolio of evidence will be based around what you have done in school and how this has impacted in the classroom. Your portfolio could contain any of the following as supporting evidence:
- Schemes of work.
- Lesson Plans.
- Classroom observations.
- Video.
- Audio.
- Photographs.
- Written summaries.
- Letters from other adults.
- Minutes of meetings.
- Presentations.
If this is work which you are already doing in school why not receive some recognition for it, there is no cost to you or the school to apply for accreditation.
How does it work?
You take part in Unipace CPD activity (training, consultancy etc).
You undertake a range of development work in school linked to this CPD activity.
You can be registered for accreditation based on the work you will be doing.
Edge Hill will provide FREE tutorial support for you in producing your portfolio of accreditation evidence.
What evidence do I need to submit?
The evidence is based on three elements:
- RATIONALE FOR DEVELOPMENT (eg research, school improvement).
- DEVELOPMENT OF PRACTICE (eg action plan, scheme of work).
- IMPACT OF DEVELOPMENT (eg on teacher's own practice, pupil motivation and learning).
What academic credit would I receive?
If you are interested in pursuing postgraduate accreditation, this module can also count as 20 credits (ie. one module) at Masters Level to start a Postgraduate Certificate. You can get up to 60 credits free using a Unipace Masters pathway. Postgraduate pathways are available in a range of specialisms.
