As the New Primary Curriculum website launched on Friday, it became clear that schools are going to be left more to their own devices in deciding how to implement the changes. Decisions about how to organise learning is being left to individual schools' own discretion. John Crookes, head of the primary curriculum at QCDA, said they would not be producing any new schemes of work.
'Dimensions - New Primary Curriculum Edition' will be available from next week and, judging by the amount of interest and pre-orders we have received so far, is going to be a valuable tool in helping schools structure their own curriculum in line with the new legislation.
