Early Years experts are concerned that the review of the EYFS, instigated by the new government, will be focused too narrowly. The review's remit fails to address the issues of transition to Year One and the problem of over-regulation.

"We would like the review to look into education up to at least age six and overlap with the proposed primary curriculum review,"
said Nansi Ellis, head of education policy at ATL.
