Christine Blower, NUT leader, has this week intimated that members could boycott KS2 SATs for a second year running. The action could be instigated much sooner than last year, she suggested, and there could be a ballot over ordering test papers in the next few months.

Michael Gove has already affirmed the coalition government's intention to continue with Year 6 tests, even issuing the dates for next year's SATs ( w/b 9th May).
