Pupil Workshops
The Selfish Giant
Pupils had great fun producing this comic strip following some ICT literacy work on the theme of giants.
Bollywood Workshop
|
Reception children at a Blackburn Infant School came dressed in traditional Asian costumes ready for their Bollywood film workshop. They watched some footage from a popular Bollywood movie and learnt and practised a simple dance sequence. Unistage had constructed a film set for the children to perform on and we took video footage of their performances. Then, using chroma key technology, we were able to magically transport them into an Indian palace! Staff were thrilled with the DVD they received as a momento of their day and have watched it back more than once in class! |

Pirate Girl
Gifted and Talented Key Stage 2 pupils at a primary school in Preston enjoyed becoming pirates for the day. Using a narrative as stimulus, their talents were stretched as they reproduced the story without the aid of any narration or script and then perform their production for the rest of the school, acting and singing like real pros!
Aliens!
On a sunny June afternoon, aliens landed at a school in Preston! Following a space theme, Year 3 children were able to use music technology to produce atmospheric soundscapes as well as perform this alien rap.
Family Learning Sessions
|
Unipace delivered a series of after school family learning sessions. Mums and grandmas attended with their children, ranging in age from Years 1 to 3. They worked together to compose, perform and record their own music and had great fun in the process! |
